A practical introduction to eye tracking


Are you starting an eye-tracking project and looking to acquire some knowledge and experience of eye tracking methods? Welcome to this course where you can learn from experienced researchers, make mistakes in a safe environment, and gain confidence for your own research project. This course is taught through the Lund University Humanities Lab at the joint Faculties for Humanities and Theology in Lund, Sweden. 


Do you know what eye tracking is but think it sounds complicated? Welcome to this course where you can learn from experienced researchers and make mistakes in a safe environment, before you start your own eye tracking project. This 3 day course is open to everyone who wants to learn more about eye tracking methodology and how to work practically with eye trackers. While no background knowledge is required, the course contains enough possibilities to explore deep technical and methodological questions to benefit even the advanced user. We recommend participants to have a specific research project in mind to maximize the benefit from the course. There are 16 eye tracking stations available during the course; if tmore than 16 participants apply, some will work in pairs.


The content of the course is equivalent to 1.5 ECTS credits, and participants receive a course certificate  upon completion.
The course is taught in English.


Application to the course is binding. The course fee should be paid after registration, once the invoice has been sent to the participant. If cancelled more than 3 weeks before the course starts, the participant will be charged 50% of the full course fee. If cancelled less than 3 weeks before the course starts, the participant will be charged the full course fee.
