An international, case-oriented course in Malmö, Sweden for physicians in need of further training in Von Willebrand Disease.

DESCRIPTION

This three-day course first introduces Von Willebrand Disease through a series of overview lectures. Then, clinical cases are presented and the management, prognosis, treatment and diagnosis of the disease will be discussed. The course assumes an evidence-based approach and participants review and present scientific articles about Von Willebrand Disease.

Participants will receive a course binder including the international guidelines for managing Von Willebrand Disease, as well as articles and lectures notes, i.e.”take home messages”.

The course is a collaboration between the Malmö Centre for Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Lund University, Malmö University Hospital, and Octapharma Nordic, Sweden.

LIPUS (Institute for the Professional Development of Physicians in Sweden) has reviewed and approved the course (www.lipus.se). The course is granted 14 European CME credits (ECMEC) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).

The course is partly financed by Octapharma.

 

Requirements

Clinical experience of von Willebrand care is required as well as good English-speaking skills.
