Welding and inspection of Helium leak-tight cryogenic structures- reserve a seat!

COMMISSIONED EDUCATION | LUND UNIVERSITY

The Welding of structures for cryogenic applications, whether based on familiar stainless steel alloys or special alloys for cryogenic applications, requires skills within the areas of welding and metallurgy in order to provide Helium-tight results with minimal thermal distortion. This course provides general and specific competencies within these areas as well as an introduction to the related non-destructive testing methods for inspection of the welds.

The course will be offered in English.

SCOPE

The scope of the course is to provide theoretical knowledge and to some extend practical skills in welding for cryogenic applications within the field of big science accelerators.
